RENTON, Wash. —
Shortly after crashing his car through a large road sign — then skidding across a road, Seahawks running back Fred Jackson wanted to set the record straight.
- Jackson uninjured
- RB says he lost control
- He tweeted teammates were not racing
- Renton police issue citation for “inattention”
Jackson turned to Twitter to dispel misinformation published on online gossip websites.
“Thanks to everyone worried about me,” Jackson tweeted. “I lost control of my car. My teammates, including Marshawn, stop to check on me. They weren’t racin’ me.”
Renton Police Department said on Wednesday that Jackson was issued a citation for inattention, which carries a $175 fine.
